I am a great fan of Hong Sue chicken of Chinese restaurant a famous restaurant in my place. So i thought of preparing it my home. I have made it with a taste almost similar to that restaurant. I am sure that you will definitely a fan of this chilly Hong Sue chicken. One of main combination is with parottas. You can also have this with fried rice.

Now about the way to prepare this, two ways one by frying the chicken pieces the other by without frying. You can choose any method. I have shown here is the first method.

For second method , mix cornflour and chicken stock together and at step 9, pour this into the gravy. Rest is all the same.

Step 1 First of all we need to prepare chicken stoke for that take a pressure cooker add in chicken pieces, 1 teaspoon pepper and salt. Cook till 4-5 whistles are done.

Step 2 Next we should marinate the chicken pieces for frying. For this take cornflour, maida, Chilli sauce (1tbsp), 1 cup water and salt together in a bowl and mix with chicken pieces and keep for 1-2 hours.

Step 3 Heat some oil in a pan for frying the chicken pieces. Fry till it turns golden brown color.

Step 4 Take another pan heat some oil in it. And the slices onions into it and saute till it become soft.

Step 5 Now add ginger garlic paste and green chillies into it and saute till raw smell disappears.

Step 6 Then add the sugar and salt to balance the taste.

Step 7 Next add red chilli powder and the remaining pepper powder into it and saute for a minute.

Step 8 Now add the prepared chicken stock into it. Stir well.

Step 9 When it boils add the tomato sauce and soya sauce into it. Mix well.

Step 10 Then add the fried chicken pieces into the gravy and stir it continuously till oil gets separated.

Step 11 Switch off the flame and serve after 1-2 hours for better taste.

Note

  1. I made this Hong Sue Chicken after frying the chicken pieces, you can make it without frying.
  2. When your making this without frying, add the cornflour and chicken in a bowl, mix well and then it to the gravy.
  3. Sauces can be adjusted with your taste.
